Hilarious moment ‘first-time grandpa’ falls into crib while putting 2-year-old grandkid to bed

A California grandfather took a tumble into his granddaughter’s crib while he was putting her to bed, a hilarious viral video shows.

First-time grandpa Ramon Aranda nearly fell on his granddaughter Lenna while putting her to bed one night about a year-and-a-half ago, as shown by a recently uploaded TikTok video.

Lenna’s parents had recently lowered the baby’s mattress in her crib to prevent her from crawling out, but it was a bit too low for Aranda, who slowly tumbled over the railing.

In the Dec. 5 video, uploaded by his daughter-in-law Kelsea Bowersmith, Aranda can be seen picking up the then-2-year-old girl and hoisting her above the railing and onto the mattress pad.

As he makes the final descent, his legs pop off the ground and the grandfather of one unsuccessfully tries to maneuver his way back out without falling.

Unfortunately, he tumbled in, losing his phone in his back pocket while he focuses on landing safely around the girl instead of on top of her.

His phone lights up several times, but Aranda doesn’t seem to notice as he crawls over his granddaughter and fixes his glasses before crawling back over the railing.

He handed Lenna her bottle back and tucked her in properly, but in his fluster, he forgot to remove the little girl’s shoes.

His blunder was only discovered after he had to ask his family to help him search for his phone, which he unknowingly left behind in the crib.

“I would’ve been embarrassed if somebody saw me,” Aranda told CNN.
